I still think LA win this, and win the next two.  Some will call that arrogant, and g'luck with that - I really don't care watcha think I'm being... but I'm not. I'm just being realistic... ok, and a little biased.

This is the LA team I've had to follow all through the past two years (as a blogger - fan for much, much longer)... this year especially. Faced with a challenge, they've risen up - each and every time. Give them something an opportunity to be LAzy, LAckadaisical and LAx? They seize that too.

whatmeworryPoint is, LA took a victory over Houston for granted... and played very poorly. Met with a perfect storm there of Rockets role-players playing way, way beyond what they're normally capable of... well, the result was what we got.

Am I surprised?
Unfortunately, no. I'm an LA fan, and this is the team we've got.
Am I disappointed?
Most definitely. It was a pathetic showing.
Am I worried?
In all honesty: not overly.

There are people who are carrying on like this is something new. It's not. If you'd cared to look, LA have been doing this (losing to teams they have no godly reason to lose to) all season long. It's hellishly frustrating to support a team that's this talented... and capable of taking things for granted at such an insanely stupid level.

I still believe that LA's chances of going all the way are no different to they were at the beginning of the playoffs.
Yes, both Denver and Cleveland are playing some insanely good basketball. In all truth I'd be more worried if they weren't. LA are not likely to take either team lightly... which is something I think they did in both game 1 and game 4, much to their chagrin. It's when LA take a win for granted that they are at their most vulnerable.

I cannot see LA playing that poorly again, nor can I see Houston's role-players sustaining that level of play. I'm sorry if any of you regard any of my views as hubris.
All that's happened is that LA have now something to play for. I wish to god that it wasn't necessary (for them to obtain their drive from some external source), but it is what it is.
And what it is is nothing new.
Lastly - as I said, I still think we win the next two.
