Let me start by saying that if you play for the Boston Celtics you have a Willy Wonka Golden Ticket from me. There is almost nothing a Celtics player can do that I won't defend - ask Don, I've done it.

I (mildly) questioned the organization over their treatment of Leon Powe, but looks like they were right anyway which is what I expect of my front office. That's about as close to criticism as you will get to see from me about anything related to the Boston Celtics.

Until today.

Trash talk is a big part of the game and almost no one does it better than KG.
Yeah, I know it's usually at a little guy or a European or a little European, but if trash talking was an olympic sport KG would be a guaranteed medalist. Maybe not gold, but silver for sure and he'd still be talking trash to the gold medalist at the medal presentation.
But it seems like he has gone too far this time - even for a die hard Celtics fan.
kg-hits-the-wall
If it is proven (independent witnesses, one of the Celtics backing it up) that KG called Charlie Villanueva a "cancer patient" in the Celtics win over the Pistons on Tuesday night then he needs to receive the mother of all fines, he needs to spend some significant time in cancer wards visiting children and he needs to man up and apologize for his comment and then trying to spin it. If that's a road he took I am sickened by it.

KG issued a statement claiming that what he had said to Villanueva was
"you are cancerous to your team and our league".

That's a pretty articulate piece of trash talking for a man who has been known to bark at his opponents.  I might just have reached the point where I'm not drinking the kool-aid anymore.

Here's a personal plea from a die hard fan of the Celtics to KG - if you said it, man up, apologize and do whatever you can to make it right.
The Boston Celtics deserve better.
