Unsung Player Day!
Where to begin!!!
So many players, so many obvious ones too: Kenyon Martin, Joakim Noah, Andrew Bynum etc.
But for me I like a person who slips under the radar, and is a true role player.

theoSo at 400 years old, I salute you Theo Ratliff.
Seriously, how good is this guys interior D???  He doesn't do a lot more, and who needs him too??? He's solid as a rock around the basket, and alters as many shots as he challenges. Honestly, I feel Larry Brown is the master of choosing role players, and he's got the best out of Ratliff when he looked all washed up.

I do have another couple I'd like to mention:
  • JJ Reddick: You truly are the best 3pt shooter in the league...
  • Ty Lawson: Chauncey was awful for a while there and you slotted in nicely...
  • Darius Songaila: Another 400 y/o who keeps on banging down low. It's a sad indictment on Okafor, West and Wright when Songaila is easily your best low post, defensive weapon.
And lastly, but certainly not leastly, I have to give a special shout-out to Juwan Howard. I was 10 when you entered the league. I'm 26 now and your turnaround is still just as solid. What you, and other vets like you, do however is control the ego's of those around you. No small feat, especially when you have some super talented players there. The league would be WWE by this if not for people like you.
