mini-bugThe Suns.
Phoenix.
If you're not a Lakers fan you probably don't realise how much 'we' (those of us who ARE LA fans!) enjoyed beating them enroute to last season's title (not quite as much as beating Boston was enjoyed tho'!)... but it's one helluva franchise.
Successful, classy.  And almost the same colours as LA.

Anyway, without further ado, Phoenix - your all time top 5:

5. Walter Paul Davis - The Greyhound played just like his nick-name suggests, fast 'n' sleek. Guy was a phenomenal scorer, shooting for 24+ ppg in his first ever season - winning the '78 Rookie of the Year. Remains the Suns all time leading scorer to this day.

4. Amare Carsares Stoudemire - When on, STAT's an explosive beast. One of the best power forwards in the game today, he's quick, agile, and possessing a jump that will take him over all but the biggest of defenders - Stoudemire's game's big enough to really trouble all but the very elite.

3. Kevin Maurice Johnson - At most franchises, KJ would be considered #1 at the point.
The Suns traded for KJ with Cleveland... and never looked back on that deal. The season after, KJ exploded - going for 20+ ppg and 12+ apg, winning the Most Improved Player award.
And anyone remember his huge dunk over Olujawon?
MONSTROUS!!!

2. Charles Wade Barkley - The Chuckster. Sir Charles took the Suns to the NBA Finals the first season he arrived. His 92/93 season is accounted by many as the greatest season ever for a Suns player. League MVP. And that season belonged to him... 'cept for damn Jordan.
At Phoenix, he averaged a phenomenal 23.4 ppg; 11.5 rpg, 4.4 apg, 1.6 steals per.
A player that was completely beastly, he was at his best when he was a Sun.

1. Steve John Nash - An amazing player. One of the best passers in the game today, and also one of the best shooters. Actually... one of the best shooters of all time.
2 MVPs, and Nash has changed the culture at Phoenix, leading them to become a Western Conference powerhouse.
At a franchise that's had some shining lights at the point, Steve Nash has been a beacon.
